2018 National Community Action Foundation Legislative Conference
Leaders and staff from Ohio Urban Resources System traveled to Washington, DC to meet with key legislators and decision-makers on behalf of Ohio’s children and families.
The network supports the following federal legislative asks:
- Community Services Block Grant - A modest increase to CSBG will provide almost 5 percent more flexible funding to critical programs in our community.
- Weather Authorization Program – adequate funding this important program that helps low-income homes.
- Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program – Local LIHEAP funding to support historic heights of frigid winter weather and record-breaking summer heat. This program helps keep the heat and air conditioning on, preventing accidental deaths and numerous devastating problems.
